Simplicity 4014 - done

Simplicity Jacket 4014 is done.  What an easy breezy pattern this was...I did make some changes though.  I decided after trying it on to make the sleeves 3/4...this way I can wear it all Spring through Summer, that is if this weather ever changes...Also, I made the collar a little smaller, by cutting off about 1 inch.

I took off these buttons from a sweater that had fallen apart.  They were a perfect match!
I'm not sure what those white lines are on the collar, must just be my camera.  Now, I'm deciding on whether or not to topstitch the collar or not....What Say You?

It may have been easy to make, but it looks like a million!!! I love the 3/4 sleeves. Have fun wearing this one.

I am trying to get this collar on the jacket right now. Have sewn for years. The directions say put the front facing RIGHT SIDES TOGETHER, AND MATCH THE NECK AND SHOULDER EDGES TOGETHER AND SEW THEM TOGETHER. I just cannot believe this is right, and I am trying to match the back collar and front collar edges together and then turn right side out and match the neck edge to the jacket, however I am lining the jacket and so planned to stitch the full lining to the neck edge and sew through to hold them together AFTER turning right side out.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
